There are three levels of "official" volunteering at IFAA. These include:

  • Supporters:  This is similar to any other nonprofit, where people support the mission in various ways, such as participating in our programs, sharing our resources, and raising funds for the cause.  Supporters will receive an e-newsletter that provides updates about getting involved.
  • Partners: Partners are introduced to IFAA projects and invited to lend input via an online “conference room”.  There is no time commitment expectation for Partners.
  • Representatives:  Representatives are former Partners who want to be much more involved on projects, including taking on leadership roles.  These volunteers may also participate in Coalitions, attend conferences, and speak on behalf of IFAA in public - to name a few opportunities.  There is a time commitment expectation for Representatives.  Representatives can go back to Partner status at any time they need more flexibility.

If you are interested in volunteering for IFAA, please fill out the IFAA Volunteer Application (link below).

IFAA Representatives (volunteers who donate consistently to project creation and implementation) are used in our ads.

"Together we can move mountains.  bulldozers are so overrated."

Since IFAA is run by patients who are current and former business leaders and educators, we have set up the organization to run almost entirely online, without the use of physical offices.  This enables us to stay open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and those involved can work from any location (including from bed) and at any time of the day they feel their best. As patients ourselves, we understand the limitations associated with these diseases so of we have created a platform that allows any person located any place in the world to help, regardless of his or her physical capacity.

We havea unique business model at IFAA. We keep the number of employees small and then the rest of the work is done either by volunteers and, based on project needs, we use subcontractors.

volunteering with ifaa can be done from anywhere in the world, as long as you have access to the internet.

Most of our projects are "Sofa Approved", which enables patients with physical limitations to contribute from the comfort of their own homes.
