Terms of Service for AiArthritis Communications

Welcome to the communication channels of the International Foundation for Autoimmune & Autoinflammatory Arthritis (AiArthritis). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your participation in and use of our communication systems, including but not limited to email, Slack, Textedly (texting service), video conferencing (e.g., Zoom), and social media messaging.

By engaging with AiArthritis through any of our communication channels, you agree to these Terms.



1. Purpose of Communication

AiArthritis communicates with volunteers, patients, partners, and supporters to:

  • Share updates on programs, events, and initiatives.
  • Provide educational and advocacy materials.
  • Assign and coordinate volunteer tasks.
  • Foster community support and connection.
  • Offer ways to participate in fundraising and awareness campaigns.



2. Consent to Communicate

By providing your contact information to AiArthritis (including phone number and email), you consent to receive:

  • Emails and/or text messages related to your involvement.
  • Program, volunteer, or donation updates.
  • Reminders for meetings, events, or tasks.
  • Occasional surveys or feedback requests.


Text Messages
 Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of text communications at any time by replying STOP to any text message received. To rejoin, you may reply START or contact us at info@aiarthritis.org.



3. Privacy and Data Protection

AiArthritis is committed to protecting your privacy. We will never sell or share your contact information with third parties without your consent.



4. Code of Conduct

All communications within AiArthritis platforms are expected to be:

  • Respectful and inclusive.
  • Free from harassment, discrimination, or hate speech.
  • Constructive and aligned with our mission.

Violations of this code may result in restricted access to our platforms or removal from volunteer roles.



5. Use of Platforms

You may be invited to join:

  • Slack, for real-time collaboration and updates.
  • Email, for official communications and volunteer engagement.
  • Textedly, for urgent updates or brief reminders.
  • Zoom or other video platforms, for meetings or trainings.

Participation in these channels is optional unless specified as part of a required meeting or task, and we strive to accommodate your communication preferences.



6. Recording and Media Use

Meetings, webinars, or training sessions may be recorded. We will always notify participants beforehand. If you do not wish to be recorded or have your name/image used in promotional material, please notify us in writing at info@aiarthritis.org




7. Modifications

AiArthritis may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version and notify you through our primary communication channels.
