Community
Volunteers are truly the heart of our work. Without their passion and dedication to advancing education, advocacy, and research, we could not achieve our goals. From the moment someone joins our team, they become part of a community—and a family.
Flexible By Design
Because our organization was founded by those living with these diseases, we understand the need for flexibility. That’s why most of our work is done virtually—no physical office required. As long as you have internet access, you can participate. We also operate 24/7, 365 days a year, enabling anyone—no matter where they live or their physical limitations—to be part of our efforts.
In fact, we often say, "Patients with our organization can change the world from their sofa." This model works just as well for non-patients too, allowing everyone to give their time on their terms.
Empowering
Our core leaders are actively involved they serve on advisory panels, act as research liaisons, and share personal stories to shape policy and education.
Many bring expertise from business, research, or education and often mentor those who want to amplify their impact. But you don’t need any formal experience to get involved. Whether you're the CEO or a first-day volunteer, your voice matters and will be heard.
“Being an volunteer with this organization means that my vision of being a voice for all with these diseases has become a reality! Your voice matters, even the first day. It's a family." - Deeanne Q.
